This is the balance of Mortal Life. The mermaid holds the side of light and good, and the dragon holds the side of evil and sorrow. ((Yes, I know not ALL dragons are evil, but I'm stereotyping, okay??)) This drawing reflects the current events of the world, i.e. Iraq War, Indian Ocean Tsunami, Beslan Terrorist bomb. The Ying/Yang symbol is swaying towards the dark slightly.
